Getting Started
OmniCut is a native desktop application for Windows, macOS, and Linux. No account required — download, install, and start editing.
Installation
- Go to the Download page
- Pick your platform and download the installer
- Run the installer and follow the prompts
- Launch OmniCut
System requirements:
- Windows: Windows 10 or later (64-bit)
- macOS: macOS 12 Monterey or later (Intel or Apple Silicon)
- Linux: Ubuntu 20.04+ or equivalent
Your first project
When you open OmniCut for the first time, you’ll see the home screen with three module tiles: Converter, Timeline Editor, and AI Tools.
Quick start: Convert a file
- Click Converter
- Drag and drop a video file onto the import area (or click Add Files)
- Choose an output format from the preset list
- Click Convert
Quick start: Edit on the timeline
- Click Timeline Editor
- Click New Project and give it a name
- Drag media files into the Media Bin
- Drag clips from the bin onto the timeline tracks
- Trim, cut, and arrange your clips
- Click Export when done
Quick start: Enhance with AI
- Click AI Tools
- Select the tool you want (e.g., AI Upscaling)
- Import your source video
- Configure settings and click Process
Free plan limits
On the Free plan, all three modules are available but exports are capped at 720p resolution. Upgrade to Basic, Pro, or Ultra to unlock full resolution output.
